Purpose of Job: The Model Validation & Approval area provides independent and consistent model validation and approval across various risk types, including market risk, credit risk, operational risk, capital models and other key risk/financial models. The Senior Manager will lead a team to provide independent and comprehensive model validations. This incumbent need strong communication skills as the successful candidate will collaborate with multiple stakeholders from risk management, treasury, and capital management on a regular basis to ensure models and methodologies are appropriate given our overall framework and regulatory requirements. Job Responsibilities: Support Director to develop and maintain a consistent model validation process for respective portfolio of models; support Director in the development of overall work plan; deliver validation work assignments according to work plan; provide guidance and supervise staff to deliver work assignments; Lead a team to conduct comprehensive validations of Treasury and Enterprise Risk related models, such as asset and liability management, liquidity risk, operational risk, and economic capital models; Review modeling processes to ensure that the models selected are appropriate. Ensure methodology is consistently applied across organization, and appropriately refresh the evolving industry best practice; Liable for the review of all necessary documentation related to validation assignments, including reviewing documentation of work assignments under the incumbent's supervision; ensure accuracy and completeness of archived information and related documentation to allow independent third party review of the validation work performed; Strong knowledge of validation techniques; Present validation opinion to the model approval authority; Manage relationship with key contacts.
