ROLE: Principal Accountant LOCATION: Warwickshire Fully Remote CONTRACT: 3 months Ongoing RATE: £28+ per hour UMBRELLA Flexible for the right candidate Please note that this role is a remote working position but there is option for office or hybrid working if you would prefer this The Role of Principal Accountant Lead on the Authority’s Housing and Assets Budget Setting, enhancing existing processes and ensuring a balanced budget is delivered within strict deadlines. Working with managers to review and set the new financial years budget. Supporting with the external Audit of the Accounts for the previous financial year. Preparing the HRA Business Plan and HIP. The Person required for Principal Accountant Has previous experience in a similar role within local authority. Has strong ICT and report writing skills. Part qualified CCAB accountant or equivalent qualification. Benefits of the Principal Accountant Role Role is maternity cover so there is some stability within the department and post. Remote working with office/hybrid options if this would be preferable.
