As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in their manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include fitting, assembling, and ensuring the quality of products. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in their manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include fitting, assembling, and ensuring the quality of products. You'll work closely with hydraulic and electrical systems, install components, and contribute to design and development tasks. This role demands attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to producing outstanding results. Main Tasks: Fit and assemble fabricated parts or subassemblies Set up hydraulic and electrical systems, including pressure testing Install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines Install valves, pumps, and motors Ensure neat cable tying of hoses Complete electrical tasks, including laying, connecting, and securing wiring looms Perform fault diagnosis and basic checks on all electronic installations Dismantle faulty assemblies and repair or replace defective parts Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies Understand and install fixings, such as nuts and bolts, hydraulic adapters, fittings, electrical plugs, and terminals Use and adapt to air tools or socket sets Lift and handle large and awkward components Provide support with design and development tasks through Engineer change notes and BOM variances.
