Job Description: Are you a part or newly qualified accountant, with experience gained from either practice or industry If this sounds like you, we have a great opportunity for you Core-Asset Consulting, an Edinburgh based Financial Services recruitment firm are looking for an Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract. This is a highly varied role that will provide you with direct exposure to all aspects of finance across the business. Essential Skills/Experience: Part qualified or qualified accountant ACCA/ICAS or similar2 years minimum experience working in a similar accountancy role Knowledge of using Xero or another accounting package Experience with CRM/Pay & Bill systems preferable but not essential Somone with the ability to pick up new skills quickly Someone pro-active and able to provide a high degree to support when dealing with all stakeholders Ability to add value and use initiative A naturally friendly and approachable manner with strong ethics and integrity Core Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts, with KPIs, detailed variance reporting and commentary. Ownership of the Profit & Loss statement, and Balance sheet, including reconciliations Assist the Finance Director in preparation of annual budgets & rolling forecasts Managing working capital requirements and assisting with cash flow forecasting Ensuring all statutory requirements and deadlines are met Assisting with Auditors and providing year-end audit information Accomplishing other finance related tasks for internal use, e. g. calculations used.
