To achieve this, we strive to develop legislation, regulations and policies, process notifications, applications, and approvals for regulated activities based on sound scientific knowledge and expertise. Our goal is to educate, inspect and enforce to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations. We also proactively respond to environmental and human health risks and work to develop programs and deliver services to enhance protection in these areas. About Our Opportunity Reporting to the Executive Director for the Compliance Division, the Regional Director has the overall responsibility and accountability for the implementation and delivery of a set of complex and diverse programs and services within the Region. The incumbent is accountable for ensuring all programs and policies administered by the Division are delivered in a timely and consistent manner. The successful candidate must develop and maintain strong relationships with district offices, other regional offices, municipal governments, and other provincial and federal departments particularly in the area of environmental protection and environmental health. The candidate must work closely with industry associations and environmental groups to promote shared responsibility and stewardship of environmental protection activities. The candidate is part of the Senior Divisional Management team that provides input on key strategic decisions based on principles, procedures, and business cases, in order to implement systems to monitor and implement.
