Job Purpose Responsible for providing oversight of Payroll delivery team and the execution of all activities related to the payroll process. Continuously partners with Total Rewards COE, other relevant business areas and external vendors to develop and implement solutions to improve/enhance payroll delivery. Is this role right for you? In this role you will: Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge Oversees the delivery of payroll through various internal and vendor systems within the Bank, ensuring alignment with standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Establishes the payroll governance process and drives the strategic direction of the payroll function Partners with Total Rewards COE and other relevant groups to develop and implement innovative solutions to improve/enhance payroll operations Establishes controls to ensure the accurate and timely delivery/processing of payroll activities and data Analyzes complex business/financial data to solve problems, acts as a top escalation point for payroll issues and inquiries Develops metrics to backss the effectiveness and efficiency of payroll operations, identifies service deficiencies and develops solutions to address them Coaches Team Leads in providing leadership, guidance and prioritization for all payroll activities Establishes a culture of continuous improvement within the team, with a focus on transferring learnings and opportunities across the department and leveraging other solutions to enhance efficiency Builds external networks to maintain knowledge of industry best practices related to payroll operating models, and ensures legislative compliance within the payroll function Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day.
