At Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel and Inter Continental Edinburgh The George hotel, we have an exciting opening to join our team as a Finance Assistant … We are looking for someone who can commit to Full-Time, 40 hours across 5 days per week (we offer flexible working arrangements to work around your life and commitments). We are paying from £26,000.00 per annum based on experience, all hours worked paid for. As our cluster Finance Assistant, we are looking for someone who is ready to kick-start their Finance Career in a busy role assisting up to 500 employees between our 2 hotels and exposing you to various elements of the business. Your main duties will be supporting the Finance team by producing monthly accounts, meeting all deadlines and adhering to IHG policies and procedures. Your tasks will be varied, including managing the Procurement System; assisting in billing and query resolution, completing the income audit; resolving imbalances with Team Members and completing other Ad Hoc accounting requests. You will maintain strong relationships with the immediate finance team and wider hotel team, working to ensure that everything is running smoothly and any issues are resolved quickly and effectively. To thrive in this role, the key skills & experience you’ll ideally already have are: Previous experience working in a team, strong communication skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment Experience learnt through a degree in Finance or similar, with a predicted or achieved grade of 2:2 or above is beneficial but not essential Keen to get involved with various aspects of a busy finance department and gain a breadth of knowledge - Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, Payroll, Forecasting, Budgeting and performing month-end accounts So why work for us (aside from joining an awesome team…)?
