Job Summary: The Graduate Admissions and Registration Coordinator provides support to graduate applicants, students, and faculty by processing applications for admission with a focus on backssing post-secondary qualifications for domestic and international applicants. The incumbent will also complete ongoing registration duties and provide support to graduate students, faculty and staff. Nature of work: This position reports to the Manager of the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Responsibilities/accountabilities: Graduate Admissions: Process and evaluate applications and credential backssments for graduate domestic and international files Determine authenticity of academic credentials and determine GPA calculations and conversions Respond to inquiries from prospective graduate applicants Review faculty recommendations and ensure graduate admission quality assurance standards and policies are met Graduate Registration: Provide enrolment services to newly accepted students to ensure seamless transition from admissions to registration Support students with registration issues and liaise with faculty staff to resolve issues backss and process transfer credits Processes add/drops, late registration, program withdrawals and leave of absences Student records: Input information correctly into student systems and records Enter in and update student records and student files Support faculty with the graduate portal Required Skills: Knowledge of post-secondary administration Knowledge of graduate admissions and registration cycle Exceptional attention to detail High level of confidentiality Ability to handle a high workload during peak periods Work well under time constraints and deadlines Commitment to excellent customer service Required Education: Completion of a formal post-secondary/college/university program of three academic years or equivalent Verification of Academic credentials may be required Required Experience: 3-5 years of work.
