Made Possible.Purpose * Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems, following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, crane, fork lift, precision measuring and testing instruments, etc * Initiates and supports plant downtime reductionJob Functions * Troubleshooting: Confers with operators and observes, listens for unusual sounds, tests, and evaluates operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction * Disassembles machinery and equipment to gain access and remove defective parts, make repairs, and then reassemble * Installs, repairs, replaces, changes, adjusts, and aligns components of machinery and equipment * Test-runs repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs * Performs RCFAs (Root Cause Failure Analysis) on equipment failures * Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of equipment and machinery * Examines parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear * Completes daily work orders within the time frame specified on the work order * Installs machinery and equipment * Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate * Inspects drives, motors and belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, and performs other maintenance functions, following checklists. * Transports machine parts, tools ,equipment and other material between work areas and storage using carts, fork truck, lift, pallet jack, etc * Records repairs and maintenance performed * Orders or requisitions parts and supplies from catalogs and suppliers, or obtains them from store room * Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International's good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork * Maintenance II & III; Installs, repairs and replaces wiring and electrical components of machineryRequired Skills * Self-sufficient and cost effectively perform all required mechanical and pneumatic assembly operations. * Complete knowledge and understanding of assembly drawing blueprints at a complex level. * Must have extensive knowledge for identification and working knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic components. * Mechanical assembly skills on large equipment a plus. * Ability to troubleshoot, adjust and debug to finalize majority of machine lines required in house or at the customers facility. * Ability to perform inquiry and printouts as required in manufacturing and engineering systems. * Trained and knowledgeable in Mechanical Assembly Standards, Engineering Standards, other applicable procedures and parts flow.Required Experience * High School Diploma, GED * Technical Certificate in Industrial Maintenance at Tech school, or equivalent is preferred. * Active Listening Skills - Ability to listen to what others are saying and then ask appropriate questions * Speaking Skills - Ability to talk to others and effectively convey information * Ability to prioritize assignments and tasks, with equipment downtime taking first priority * Ability to work safe in stressful situations * Visual Color Discrimination, the ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of colorsGraphic Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
