Position Title: Demand Planner Position Type: Regular - Full-Time Position Location: Toronto HQ Grade: Grade 04 Requisition ID: 26355 JOB SUMMARY: The Demand Planner orchestrates accurate and timely demand plans for designated business sectors, serving as the linchpin between our supply chain and commercial teams. This role synthesizes vital business intelligence from marketing, sales, and finance, as well as data analytics. As the nexus between marketing and sales, the Demand Planner spearheads monthly dialogues to align customer and product forecasts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Formulate multi-level, multi-timeframe demand plans. Facilitate monthly consensus planning for designated sectors, aligning commercial partners on SKU and category volumes for both short- and long-term horizons. Revise demand plans to align with commercial and marketing strategies. Champion ongoing enhancements in forecast precision, identifying process and system inefficiencies and implementing corrective actions. Own forecast accuracy KPIs, maintain and publish key metrics, and drive continual improvements. Understand the downstream impact of demand planning on supply chain operations. Manage communication of forecast changes, ensuring stakeholder awareness. Utilize SAP IBP as the primary forecast system. Maintain portfolio master data with utmost accuracy. Triage statistical forecast anomalies through alerts, reporting, and analysis. Lead demand consensus meetings using a collaborative framework for forecast improvement. Scrutinize forecast data for variances, leveraging historical trends and market insights for refinement. Proficient in data retrieval from multiple systems and report creation. Responsible for executing routine processes and reports to enhance forecast quality. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. 2-5 years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply planning, CPG experience.
