Maintenance Engineer Heavy Industry - Quarry / Plant Mechanical or Electrical bias Rotating Shifts - Morning & Afternoon Peterborough area - PE1 Up to £45000.Maintenance Engineer Heavy Industry - Quarry / Plant Mechanical or Electrical bias Rotating Shifts - Morning & Afternoon Peterborough area - PE1 Up to £45000 per annum Overtime Available Are you a skilled Maintenance Fitter with the ability to ensure that all plant, equipment and services are safely maintained in line with company regulations Do you have experience of working in a heavy industry such as aggregates, quarry, building products, construction products, building materials manufacturing or similar If yes, read on. My client is an established firm in the heavy plant / quarry / aggregates industry, based near Peterborough. They are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer with experience of working in a heavy engineering industry to carry out reactive maintenance and quickly respond to breakdowns. The Role - Maintenance Technician: - Respond to breakdowns and quickly effect a repair so as to keep downtime to a minimum - Report any observations/concerns arising from a PPM activity - Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies - Suggest and implement plant improvements - Monitor and request spares in a timely manner to maintain plant and equipment - Accurately complete documentation to enable a traceable and auditable route CMMS - Take part in cross-functional task teams to improve machine/process reliability - Assist in any auditing being conducted either internal or external - Mentor maintenance assistants within core trade Where applicable - Supervise contractors when required, to ensure that they work safely and inline with their documented RAMS - Attend daily toolbox talks to enable quick communications of any issues - Interact daily with maintenance, operations and yard staff to learn and share knowledge of the plant operations to improve overall performance - Undertake reasonable.
