DUAL OR SINGLE LICENSE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC MISSISSAUGA PERMANENT FULL-TIME The Dual or Single License Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of processing packaging equipment to ensure ongoing, cost effective operations, in a continuous operations, multi shift environment. Assist with repair and maintenance of electrical and electronic components when required. ACCOUNTABILITIES • Repair and maintain packaging equipment and high speed PLC controlled equipment • Repair and maintain processing and material handling equipment • Carry out requirements of Preventative Maintenance programs • Perform facility repairs as required • Ensure all work is completed in a safe manner and complies with applicable industry standards • Repair, upgrade and install electronic controls and equipment • Program and modify PLC's • Train other mechanics in electronic controls • Assist equipment operators to improve line efficiency QUALIFICATIONS • Millwright License required, Electrical License an asset. • Preference given to candidates with previous experience in a food manufacturing environment • 3-5 years' experience in repair and overhaul, troubleshooting of processing, packaging and material handling equipment in a manufacturing environment • Familiarity with the following equipment: Triangles, Jones, Pod machines, Can Lines, Grinders and Roasters • Troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems • Able to take direction, both verbal and written, and communicate effectively • Electronic and analytical aptitude • Must have demonstrated history of safe work habits • Ability to bend frequently and lift heavy equipment as required • Able to work under pressure OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION • Continental Night Shift (6pm - 6:15am) no rotation • Reports into the Maintenance Supervisor Job Posted by Applicant Pro.
