Position Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the management accounting functions and contribute to the overall financial success of the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts. Compile financial data, analyse variances, and prepare reports for senior management. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide insightful analysis. Identify and report on key budget variances. Cost Control: Support in analysing costs and expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities. Assist in maintaining cost control procedures and contribute to cost efficiency initiatives. Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights for cost management. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Provide support for business cases and investment analysis. Assist in evaluating the financial impact of various business initiatives. Month-End Processes: Assist in month-end close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and complete financial records. Contribute to the improvement of month-end processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Part-qualified or working towards a recognized accounting qualification e. g. ACCA,.
