Finance Manager - Pensions Location: Surrey Contract: Temporary 6 Months Rate: £24-28 per hour umbrella Start Date: ASAP Hybrid Working – Mostly Remote Contact: e Manager - Pensions Location: Surrey Contract: Temporary 6 Months Rate: £24-28 per hour umbrella Start Date: ASAP Hybrid Working – Mostly Remote Contact: Description Service Care Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Surrey for a Finance Manager Pensions on a temporary basis. The postholder will be responsible for delivering the Pension Team Finance Strategy including preparation of the annual Pension Fund accounts, and ensuring key financial controls are robust, as well as liaising with key senior stakeholders including the Pension Fund Committee, the Local Pension Board, Auditors, Actuaries and Funding organisations. Main Responsibilities Line management of staff up to PS9, taking responsibility for induction and training, coaching and mentoring to support development of team members Assess or conduct analysis, presenting results and putting forward recommendations on managing more complexsituations to support decision making Maintain, develop and review systems, processes, procedures and working methods to maximise service delivery, quality, efficiency and compliance Plan workloads and secure resources to enable the team/s to achieve a quality service May assist with budget/resource/funding management in accordance with the organisation's policies and procedures Candidate Criteria AAT qualified or part-qualified CCABKnowledge and understanding of public sector financial/pensions issues and best practice Ability to perform tasks within a financial/pensions management cycle Knowledge of, and proficiency in, financial/pensions modelling techniqueinteractioncellent communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team If you are interested in the role, or know of anyone who may be, please contact Greg at Service Care Solutions.
