Position: Senior Electronics Engineer Location: Buckinghamshire Employment Type: Permanent Salary: £50,000-£55,000Join an esteemed company pioneering cutting-edge technology and solutions for safeguarding and empowering naval forces worldwide. As the maritime and underwater battlespace advances, our client is committed to pushing boundaries by developing specialized systems that provide an unparalleled advantage in warfare. Collaborating closely with customers, they deliver groundbreaking technologies like state-of-the-art sonar, radar, signature management, and naval power systems. Responsibilities: Translate system requirements into hardware specifications, ensuring alignment with customer and business needs. Drive Electronics and Firmware development across system, sub-system, and individual board designs. Provide technical oversight throughout project lifecycles, supporting team planning and estimation. Lead as Project Engineering Lead PEL or Work Package Manager WPM on projects. Identify and resolve qualification, certification, and safety issues. Create comprehensive project technical documentation, manage design change requests, and oversee testing and integration phases. Mentor junior Engineers and liaise with customers and suppliers as needed. Desired Skills and Experience: Extensive experience in electronics/firmware engineering across project lifecycles, ideally within the defense sector. Proficiency in designing complex systems, navigating challenges, and delivering reliable solutions within set timeframes and budgets. Ability to collaborate across disciplines Project Management, Systems, Mechanical, and Software Engineering to resolve project issues. Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline. Proficiency in analog and digital technologies, EMC design, schematic and PCB layout, and exposure to various electronics branches.
