Reporting into the Head of IT Service Operations, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the planning, communication, and implementation of application releases. Overview Senior Release Manager An exciting opportunity to work as a Senior Release Manager for a world-renowned insurance company. Reporting into the Head of IT Service Operations, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the planning, communication, and implementation of application releases. Role Responsibilities Responsibilities will include: Leading, management, development, and motivation of the Release Management & Environment team in addition to managing staffing levels and recruitment Defining, lead and be accountable for the Release & Environment framework. Continuously evaluating and enhancing release management processes to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance overall software delivery. Applying governance to all Project requests to join major releases for appropriateness through the foundations review forum or via the small change approval framework. Ensuring the Release Management teams have the appropriate training, skills, and experience to adapt and work within a CICD framework. Person Specification Essential skills will include: Experience implementing and managing continuous integration and delivery with agile practices such as SCRUM or DSDM Atern ITIL practitioner accredited Proven track record of leading release management teams within a large complex organisation Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop people effectively.
