Your Job We are looking for an experienced shift electrical engineer who will be responsible for providing a comprehensive maintenance / electrical breakdown service and support to the relevant department functions. Our Team This role will report to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor which will enable the department to operate safely at a level of availability and performance within agreed standards. What You Will Do Ensure safety standards are maintained and safe working procedures are adhered to. Reporting any accidents and near misses, to improve the Occupational Safety of personnel. Work under the rules of the Electrical and Mechanical safety systems, issuing certificates / permits as and when required. Identifying failure modes of electrical equipment and making recommendations to prevent further failures. Diagnosing and repairing equipment breakdowns and returning the equipment to operations safely and in a reasonable timescale. Maintaining/fault finding on PLC/PC controlled automated systems. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Candidates should possess a formal technical qualification (minimum level 3) in Electrical Engineering and be familiar with the 18th Edition IEE Regulations. General knowledge of working with Safety and control circuits, motor control, instrumentation, PLC's, and modern drives systems in a continuous process industry.
