Book researcher, editor and thought partner for Summer 2015 @stanford.edu

Location:
Stanford, CA
Description:

Our team is looking for a Stanford student to help work on a book we are finishing entitled The Big Government Myth. The book explores the origins, growth, failings and an alternative to today's centralized, federally-driven American political economy. The team includes John Nantz, the author and McKinsey consultant on leave to finish this book, Gustav Axen, the lead researcher who lives in Sweden and will be at Stanford this summer, and Alex Sanchez, who works remotely from Los Angeles. Research assistant responsibilities will primarily include reading and synthesizing related academic works, identifying important and compelling primary source materials and gathering contemporary media reporting for the major events explored in the book. Editorial and thought partner responsibilities include incorporating key pieces of research, directly editing targeted chapter sections, providing critical feedback and suggestions, and helping add explanations and connections to form a readable narrative.
