The Software Engineer will be responsible for working with a talented Agile team and contribute to the development and support of one of Scotiabank’s cutting edge and reputable Digital Mortgage channel. Is this role right for you? Hands on Application development and support. Delivering quality bug free code. Attend to application support queries depending on the priority and criticality (Primary function of this vacancy). Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? Undergrad degree in computer science or related discipline. Thorough understanding of the web and cloud technologies and 10+ years hands on web development experience - Java Script, HTML5 and CSS, Java. React JS, Redux, Node. js and Sprint Boot Java micro-services, cloud development and deployment practices – DEVOPS Solution Design experience for customer facing applications Hands on experience: SOA, Microservice and Event driven architecture. REST API design experience using Open API standard. Cloud deployment and infrastructure knowledge – PCF, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud. Different integration protocols – MQ, REST APIs, SOAP Services, SFTP etc. UI technologies – React JS, Redux , Node. js Java Script, HTML5 and CSS designing Spring Boot based Microservices. working with J2EE/Java Applications.
