Group Accountant Location : Manchester Salary : £37k - £47k Do ESimpson Judge is currently working with a well-established and longstanding manufacturer based in Manchester. This is permanent opportunity to work within a small but friendly team. We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant who is ready to get stuck into a new role! Benefits: Early Friday Finishes Opportunity to travel to international offices Office breakfast Well-being days Roles/ Responsibilities• Perform WD3 month end close for 4 entities (2 very small not complex)• Be responsible for the Chart of Accounts and all postings to the ledgers• Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations• Manage reconciliations of other nominals• Maintain the fixed asset register with additions, disposals etc. • Ensure Intercompany values match and are reconciled in each entity• Assisting with delivering audit to time and with a high pass rate• Calculate and submit quarterly VAT returns• First point of contact for HMRC• Manage Credit Control function• Manage Purchase Ledger function ensuring Key Suppliers are prioritized• Project lead on automation of Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions• Manage banking transactions• Key support to Head of Group Finance and FP&A Analyst Skills/ Experience Equivalent roles/experience required although training will be given Previous experience on SAP B1 or similar ERP accounting package necessary Excellent Excel skills Ability to organise & prioritise own workload Able to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail Strong analytical skills and able to summarise/present information professionally Demonstrate a problem solving attitude Interested in finding out more?
