Reporting into the Manager, Reporting - Metals, the Senior Business Analyst is primarily responsible for the definition of requirements of the Plan Information Management System (PIMS), and the design of the solution to be built. This will be done by working alongside the product owner, and interacting with various business collaborators from multiple Mine sites as well as data architects and data developers. Business analysts possess profound knowledge in their areas of business expertise and the associated software applications and help organizations achieve their business goals by recommending business and technical solutions that align with their strategic objectives! They analyze and decompose complex business requirements, perform gap analysis and recommend technical solutions using the business software applications. They fulfill the role of a domain expert in requirement elicitation and document requirements, create functional specifications, and prepare wireframes/flowcharts for training material. Communicate directly with vendors on feature sets and roadmaps. The incumbent will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help capture, track and validate business requirements in order to improve the investments in the selected business systems. The Senior Business Analyst will create Requirements Definition documents comprising of business problem definition, business needs, functional and/or non-functional requirements, and business workflow and process maps!
