Software Engineer Hybrid Position 2 days at the office and 3 from home Salary up to £55k DOE 40 hours per week with every second.Software Engineer Hybrid Position 2 days at the office and 3 from home Salary up to £55k DOE 40 hours per week with every second Friday off Annual Bonus, Pension, Healthcare, Hybrid Working, Generous Holiday allowance The successful Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and introduction of applications through new product development and launch, taking the system from architecture to production. This role is perfect for someone who is aware of the current technical landscape, continually develops their technical skills, and would thrive in an agile environment supporting work. An example of the technologies used: - Python with Flask, SQLAlchemy and Pandas for our Applications. Microsoft Azure with Terraform for our Cloud Services. Docker for containerising our deployed applications. Git Hub for Code Versioning and CI/CD. Atlassian Jira for our task tracking. mac OS as their development OS of choice. Key Responsibilities - Developing and maintaining secure web-based tools, to address both data pipeline automation and digital transformation programmes in the organisation. - Implementing best-practice standards in our use of technology; appropriate and effective choice of technologies, database structures, documentation. - Securing in-house software tools in-line, to align with NCSC guidelines and ultimately adhere to MOD requirements i. e. Secure by Design and JSP440. - Architecting and implementing cloud solutions to make our software available to stakeholders reliably. - Developing the technical knowledge of direct reports through pair-programming and identification of courses relevant to the organisations objectives. - Getting stuck in and supporting ad-hoc needs including administering platforms, engaging with stakeholders, and training the organisation on how to use our tools...
