Purpose of Job: This position is liable for the design, development, and implementation of IFRS 9 expected credit loss (ECL) provisioning models, processes, and tools used in the future analytical and reporting environment for Retail Credit Risk. The incumbent will assist in the design, development and implementation of methodology and compliance with IFRS 9 impairment requirements and OSFI regulations. In addition, the incumbent is liable for strengthening the current processes and documentation in order to satisfy Internal, External, and SOX audit requirements. Job Responsibilities: Assist in the design and development of select retail IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss modeling and and key methodology components across portfolios in both Canada and international business Support all local country IFRS 9 ECL model development within International Business (IB) by informing and ensuring model development activities are compliant to project timelines and requirements from the RCR. Support and assist vendor model development and deliverables adheres to contractual agreements and internal expectations Build strong working relationship with local country development teams and ensure that all aspects of IFRS 9 modeling technical requirements, parameterization, assumptions and project issues etc. are clearly informed and solicit issues and feedback Job Requirements: Solid knowledge of retail credit risk PD, LGD and EAD models with excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Previous experience in loan loss modelling is desired. Strong quantitative or statistical background. Good social and communication skills are essential in informing technical details with local countries and external vendors.
