This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - Senior Services Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hour workweek, including every other Saturday ( 2 per month) Starting Date: ASAP Reporting to the Clinical Manager of the Seniors' Program, the Recreation Therapist enhances the dignity and quality of life of our clients, visitors and staff by working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with the provision of health and recreation opportunities to residents. How You Will Make an Impact Good Shepherd Centres is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Recreational Therapist to join our team, working in various program locations within our Seniors' Programs. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for our residents and clients through the delivery of diverse and engaging programming. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with staff, residents, students, and volunteers to co-design and deliver a wide range of recreational activities touching on the four domains. The Recreational Therapist will be responsible for implementing standardized leisure backssments for residents, coordinating backssments, and goal planning tailored to individual needs and circumstances.
