The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Reporting to the Manager of Patient Care, the incumbent is responsible for: Slating Elective Operating Room (OR) procedures via the Surgical Information Management System (SIMS) for the Adult and Children’s sites with validated PART booking requests. Prints all available PART booking requests in advance to submit to Clinical System Coordinator for validation at the Adult site. Receives validated booking cards from the Children’s site for data entry into SIMS. Able to work in a variety of clinical applications to retrieve data to support the ongoing work in SIMS, including Patient Access Registry Tool (PART), Ventis (Anesthesia Scheduling System) and the Electronic Patient Record (EPR). Acting as a resource (for OR staff, Physicians, Patients, Admitting, Managers of Patient Care and various committee work) regarding OR slating processes and the slating application in SIMS. Orientating new staff to the elective slating functions (repetitive work and volume). Print the daily internal slate and Doctor Preference Cards to submit to the Charge Nurse of the day to the Adult site before 1000 each day (AOR only). Providing ongoing evaluation and monitoring of the slating functions in SIMS, and troubleshooting potential problems. Acting. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
