Kennel Assistant JOB SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for the feeding, watering, and letting out/in of dogs while supervising and maintaining control. Also responsible for managing dogs and ensuring their safety. Responsibilities also include maintenance and cleaning of dogs arears inside and outside, as well as other areas as assigned. This is a Part-Time position, weekends only. QUALIFICATIONS: Proven ability to work productively and efficiently in a team environment and individually. Demonstrated ability to manage and multitask in a high-volume workflow with multiple priorities, interruptions and possible short-term deadlines. Ability to be flexible in a dynamic and challenging environment characterized by sometimes changing priorities and reacting to those priorities positively. Effectively and professionally communicate in all areas of communication (verbal, non-verbal, written) with staff and clients. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Previous work experience of providing dog care required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Employee is required to talk and hear and use hands to handle dogs and other objects. The employee is frequently required to walk, run, sit, kneel and reach with hands and arms. Vision required for this job includes close vision (clear vision within 20 inches) as well as far away vision (clear vision within 200 feet). Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid Driver s License Reliable vehicle WORK ENVIRONMENT: Normal work environment will include being subject to periods of loud noise, unpleasant smells, and extremes in weather NOTICE: This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only activities to be performed.
