About Our Opportunity The Manager of Licensing is responsible for the effective management of over 2000 permanent liquor licenses and other associated licenses within the Licensing & Registration Division. This includes services relating to the licensing of the different classes of liquor licenses issued in accordance with the Liquor Control Act, Regulations and policy. The incumbent is accountable for administering public consultations, accessing, analyzing information and providing recommendations on eligibility of liquor licensing applicants. This requires the Manager to liaise on a regular basis with the public and three levels of government; Municipal, Federal and Provincial. Additionally, the Manager advises the Executive Director, Director of Licensing & Registration, Director of Investigation & Enforcement and Regional Managers on matters of a regulatory or legal nature that could impact the division, government and stakeholders. The incumbent also contributes directly to the effective management and supervision of the licensing section's staff and may be required to assist with special projects, which may cross divisional boundaries that are identified and directed by senior management. .
