The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Health Services, the Clerk II is responsible for the quantitative and qualitative analysis of inpatient and day/night care records and performs a diversity of Health Information Services (HIS) clerical functions. The incumbent performs duties in accordance with organizational values and HIS objectives, policies and procedures. While maintaining confidentiality in all matters relating to clients, staff and the organization, the incumbent works co-operatively in a matrix structure to support the functions of HIS. The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud. Qualifications: Grade XII or equivalent Completion of a recognized secretarial or business office training program required Typing speed of 40 words per minute Excellent computer skills in Windows and Microsoft Office Programs One (1) year experience as a clerk in a hospital or Personal Care Home preferred Medical Terminology preferred Experience working with patients/clients, families,.
