East Coast Construction Services is seeking candidates for the position of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator. This position is based in High Point, NC and will involve moderate travel.East Coast Construction Services, LLC is experienced in the exacting requirements of pharmaceutical electrical construction; wood product processing; production and biofuels; and food-grade manufacturing. ECCS is at home on any new production facility construction site or work floor of a manufacturing plant.As the EHS Coordinator, you will: Be responsible maintaining and administering corporate environmental, health and safety programs. Review and recommend updates to the EHS policies based on current and emerging codes, standards and best practices. Conduct frequent visits to job sites throughout our service area (NC, SC, Georgia, Virginia and throughout the Southeast), conducting risk assessments and training. Develop and provide EHS communication and training programs. Investigate work-related accidents and near misses, and ensure appropriate corrective or preventative action is implemented. Perform other relevant tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will: Have 5+ years related experience, preferably in a construction role. Be bi-lingual in English-Spanish Have a four year degree in a construction or EHS related accredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience. OSHA 30 Hour (Construction) Certification. OSHA 500 preferred. NFPA 70E Train the Trainer preferred. Flexibility to travel to clients in NC, SC and VA on a regular basis, with some overnight travel Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job which include walking on uneven surfaces, climbing, stooping, squatting and kneeling.
