Job Title: Pile Driver Foreman - Solar Reports to: Construction Manager Location: Field Position - varies based upon jobsite location Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt Position Summary: The Pile Diver Foreman will be responsible for managing and coordinating pile driving crews, preparing, handling, and supplying materials for project teams. This includes efficiently managing the production of both company and subcontractor crews working onsite. The employee facilitates project planning and is responsible for ensuring that a safe, quality, and timely product is delivered. The Pile Driver Foreman will also be accountable for maintaining the project schedule and contractual obligations. This position requires frequent customer engagement, construction document analysis, trade coordination, and meeting attendance. Great communication skills, analytical thinking, problem solving abilities, strong computer skills, and excellent knowledge Vermeer PD-10 and other leading utility solar pile driving equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Cultivate safety as a core value throughout the company, supporting the corporate safety program and personnel Receive, store, and protect project material and equipment, including owner furnished items; documenting and reporting any shortages and damage immediately Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following guidelines, standards and procedures. Oversee utilization/maintenance of equipment assigned to project facility Manage the successful completion of all installations from start to finish, meeting production goals and efficiencies Direct, manage and coordinate piling crew activities to include timecard submission and accurate cost coding Conducts toolbox talks and fills out JSAs Track and report daily progress, notable events, and upcoming events Accurate reporting of production numbers and site mapping Ability to use survey equipment (lasers, transits, etc.) Ensuring piles are driven to project specifications Maintain Pile Driving Equipment Coach / Train employees in means and methods Assist Construction Manager and Site Manager with weekly forecasting and look-ahead Attend customer required meetings, communicating unresolved questions to Project Manager for resolution Responsible for coordinating and ensuring that all AHJ and Quality Assurance inspections successfully pass and are properly documented Consult with Construction Manager to resolve problems that arise due to inclement weather, emergencies, or other issues that may cause delays Ensure that all project records are accurate and adequately maintained Provide support and assistance to other DSI divisions as needed Willing and able to cross train and work in other fields of DSI's businesses. Demonstrate a professional demeanor and ensure all project personnel act professional Handle special assignments and other duties as requested by leadership Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): High School diploma or GED required; advanced education (preferred) Three or more years of construction management and/or electrical experience (preferred) OSHA 30 training and certifications (required), employer-provided training available Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record Must be able to work long and/or extended hours to include weekends, as needed, with ability to travel full time Understands how to read and interpret plans, and specifications Experience in pile driving and survey Strong skills in Math and Microsoft Excel required Effective time management skills, understands how to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done Job Posted by ApplicantPro
