In this role, you will be responsible for providing accounting and financial related support services to the Corporate Controller and other members of the Accounting/Finance team. A TYPICAL DAY MAY INCLUDE: Monitor and record daily customer deposit activity (ACH/credit cards/checks). Reconcile and apply payments to customer accounts receivable balances, including recording adjustments for returns, allowances and other payment variances. Participate in the month end closing process including the entry/posting of accruals and journal entries and general ledger account analysis and reconciliation. Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial reports to leadership. Monitor and review incoming customer order activity for discounts, payment terms, shipping priority, and customer master information changes. File monthly and quarterly sales tax reports to multiple states. Provide support and key task redundancy for other team members in the department, as necessary. HERE'S WHAT WILL GET YOU NOTICED: At minimum, an Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field. Bachelor's degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted. 1-3 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, advanced Excel skills required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently on assigned duties Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines Sullivan's is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
