Donation Driver Part Time Location: (Specific Location Entered when job opened) Based in Fort Myers, Florida, Goodwill of Southwest Florida is committed to serving people with disabilities and disadvantages by offering life-changing opportunities to achieve independence. Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida works with the community providing support in mission services, retail and donated goods, and business development. Description of Responsibilities : Great customer service skills . Primary duties include driving DOT vehicles/equipment to provide excellent service to donors, stores, ADC locations and other specific delivery/pickup designations. Loads and unloads trucks at designated delivery assignments following all specified policies/procedures. Other duties include moving of RAW donated materials, all salvage commodities/sorts, trash, equipment/fixtures or other designated materials on/off trucks and sorting properly into the designated locations within the plant through the Kaizen system. Full compliance to Kaizen guidelines/principles as outlined in the audit and 5-minute drills. Will assist in all areas of the salvage sorting process and cross train to cover other specified job descriptions within the plant as needed. Performs any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor. Must pass background screen & drug test. Required Experience: High School graduate or its equivalent; Forklift certification preferred; some past experience in retail and/or stock handling. Current valid Class B CDL with Airbrakes (minimum) preferred. Able to pass DOT physical requirements. Must be at least 26 years of age, excellent driving record, as verified through the state Motor Vehicle Department Required skills: Must have ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack and other equipment; effective communication both written and verbal; Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side, lean kneel or bend and stand for long periods of time; see and recognize colors Knowledge of basic math skills ; lift at least forty (40) pounds on a frequent and continuous basis and occasionally to team lift up to (100) pounds. M ay have to occasionally work where temperatures and climate can fluctuate.
