Lynden Door, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Sr. IT Business Analyst, an i n-office position in Lynden, WA. If you have a background supporting and leading projects enhancing Manufacturing ERP systems, sitting in-person with business stakeholders of various levels soliciting functional requirements, and designing enterprise architecture that supports target outcomes, read on! The VP of Technology to whom this position reports values respectful and reasoned communication, pragmatism, personal responsibility, and encouraging a team focused on serving one another and the business. ROLE: To work closely with Lynden Door leadership and business units to gain an in-depth understanding of their strategy, process, services, and roadmap for business operations. Review assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks and work to improve them. Responsibilities will include activities such as diagramming processes, building system requirements, architecting solutions, developing project plans, leading projects, participating in working groups and assisting Lynden Door management and the Vice President Technology on improving operational business functions through technology improvements. RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems, business processes and manufacturing and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in information best practices for manufacturing systems, ERP systems, data and information flow. Provide leadership through collaboration with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers, and others; identifying and initiating projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results. Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones, following proper escalation paths, and managing customer and supplier relationships. Identify, create, and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design; focusing on quality improvement and ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination, integrating new systems and processes with existing ones, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet current business strategies. Provide project level analysis - producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, and project charters). Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by partnering with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, determining, and carrying out necessary processes and practices and monitoring progress and results. Serve as a liaison between Lynden Door Operations and the Technology department to assist or gather business requirements needed for business systems modifications, enhancement, and implementations. Lead and assist with test implementations to ensure data transfer collection, quality and reporting are working appropriately at all levels and user experiences are appropriate. Create and maintain project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time and resources, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts. Meet with project teams regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines. Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates. Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements. Supports and develops other analysts and Technology peers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities. Other duties as assigned. CORE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent skills in building relationships and communicating with stakeholders, peers, vendors, and others. Excellent troubleshooting skills along with a strong attention to detail. Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point. Strong understanding and demonstrated fluency of business processes and preferred information systems practices, especially related to manufacturing. Working experience with Manufacturing Business Systems such as Oracle, SAP, or VAI S2K. Working experience working through large scale projects. Working experience handling day-to-day operational requests from the business. Working understanding of Indices, fundamentals, and analytical data, returns level data etc. Working proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Excel, Project, Visio & PowerPoint. Working skills with HTML, JavaScript, PHP, and Jasper Reports a bonus, as well as other languages. Solid understanding of database systems, data normalization, and data management.
