Stark Tech is looking for an experienced Operations Controller in Tonawanda, NY . This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day work flow of the Finance and Accounting Department, ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations. How are you successful in this role? In this role you will, a ssist the EVP & CFO as well as the SVP, Finance-Corp Controller & Treasury with all day-to-day responsibilities, projects, and initiatives. Lead the monthly close process including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, analysis of variations and communication of the results. Review, verify, and process monthly benefits billings and allocations. Maintain chart of accounts. Monitor both fixed and intangible assets. Record monthly depreciation and amortization. Perform detailed review, analysis, and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts. Assist with audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls. Coordinate preparation of external audit materials. Review quarterly and annual payroll reconciliation to the general ledger. Resolve problems and ensure maintenance of the accounting systems and equipment to ensure smooth operations. Perform miscellaneous work in accounting system such as journal entries as needed. Review and complete monthly percentage of completion reporting for current contracts. Finalize monthly financial statements and reporting for owners and business unit leaders. Assist in annual budgeting process by providing financial information and analysis. In additions, you will have direct reports. Responsibilities include but are not limited to a ppraise employees' performance, productivity, and efficiency. Direct and delegate work to employees to achieve ultimate team success. Discover training needs and provide coaching and mentorship. What are we looking for? Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required. MBA strongly preferred. At least 5 years of demonstrated Finance and Accounting leadership required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel, required. Project Management experience a plus. Proven experience implementing and monitoring internal control policies and procedures. Ability to adapt to the work and environment of a small company that is growing and acquiring, with varying cultures. Must be able to thrive in a fast-pace setting. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required. Who are we?
