Our fast-growing fire sprinkler protection and life safety system company has a full-time career opportunity for a Fire Sprinkler Service Foreman at our Salisbury location. The Fire Sprinkler Service Foreman : Serves as the lead person of small service team, but at times will lead large jobs with multiple crews Services existing fire suppression equipment in commercial settings Uses hand tools, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic power tools Functions as VSC Fire and Security, Inc. representative on the job site Oversees work of apprentice(s) and helper(s) assigned to project as needed Conducts weekly tool box safety meetings The qualifications for the Fire Sprinkler Service Foreman position include: Backflow Certification preferred, but not required Completion of approved Pipefitter Apprentice Program (Levels 1-4) with Journeyman certification or 4+ years Sprinkler Fitter experience under direct supervision of Foreman Knowledge of pipefitting, plumbing regulations and fire protection codes Must have vast knowledge of different systems and be able to perform service work as well as installation and modifications of new and existing systems. Must be able to demonstrate proper techniques for draining down systems working on fire pumps and be able to make repairs. Excellent communication skills, professional manner, and the ability to work flexible schedules to accommodate testing and service work in occupied buildings are all required. Will be expected to be run emergency service calls which may occur outside of normal work hours and may result in overtime Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record to be approved to drive company vehicle Commitment and responsibility to lead team and achieve personal and team work goals Leadership skills, including ability to communicate, address personnel issues and make fair decisions related to project demands, customer service and employee assignments DCJS 11-6207 VSC Fire and Security, Inc. is a drug free workplace.
