Turner Industries Group is looking for an experienced Industrial Mechanics for maintenance work in La Vergne, TN. 40 Hours, Overtime as needed Must have hydraulics experience Minimum of four (4) years experience Must be able to pass background check and drug screen Per diem and relocation is not available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in/near the La Vergne, TN area. HIRE ON BONUS OF $1,000. - 90-DAYS OF SERVICE- $500.00 - 180 DAYS OF SERVICE- $500.00 General Job Description: Assembles, sets up, adjusts, lubricates, maintains and repairs all types of construction equipment. Functional Requirements: Interprets blueprints, sketches, written and/or verbal orders; assigns duties, lines up and follows up all work and is responsible for production of the unit; inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards; trains and assists workers in performance of their duties; supervises and coordinates activities of assigned construction workers; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; analyzes and resolves work related problems; implements safety programs; ensures job site materials and equipment are in good condition; may maintain time, production and other records; may study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job. Qualification Standards: One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level) Written pre-employment qualification test Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation Hazard Communication orientation/test Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.) Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.) Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place. Tools/Equipment: Employee may be required to provide the following: tool box, pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches, level, torpedo level, square, tri square, plumb bob, channel locks, hammer, center punch, flat or regular screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, set of combination wrenches, tape, folding rule, wrap around, work gloves, striker, cutting goggles, tip cleaner, rain suit Physical Involvement: Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction Per diem and relocation are not available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in/near the Decatur area.
