Project Coordinator At East Cherry Creek Valley Water and Sanitation District (ECCV), we are sustaining our community by providing safe reliable water. Our Project Coordinator is responsible for implementing, coordinating and managing the District's asset management projects and programs to optimize service levels and minimize risk. The Project Coordinator also supports the District's water, wastewater, and storm water capital improvement and asset management projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborates with staff and leaders across the organization to identify and implement capital improvement programs/projects, and continuously improve multiple recurring preventative maintenance programs. Prepares and manages budget requests and utilization; coordinates bids and contract procurement; keeping all parties apprised of the necessary budget and contract information; works with outside third parties to clearly communicate the project/program goals, expectations, objectives, policies, and associated tasks. Coordinates and oversees the work of project contractors, consultants and staff; provides documentation of all projects related discussions and meetings; Provides regular updates and communication on projects. Creates and maintains performance/production reports, such as expenditure, productivity and phasing reports; analyze program data; recognize issues and trends; identify options, consequences, and develops conclusions and recommendations; prepares various reports and presentations. Develops procedures and guidelines as well as implementing and establishing quality controls for the projects/programs. Acts as liaison among various operational and administrative functions related to assigned programs and projects. Provides owner input and coordination for the sanitary sewer maintenance program. Provides owner input and coordination for the waterline maintenance program. Assists with developing and implementing ongoing asset management goals and objectives. Plans, reviews, develops, and coordinates the design and construction of capital improvement projects from conception to completion. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Participates in or leads OneECCV committee(s) and/or taskforce(s). Provides back-up coverage for other positions. Provides other duties and projects as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Advanced skills in Microsoft office suite with ability to learn and effectively utilize other software platforms such as asset management and billing software. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and written which includes providing accurate and timely updates and presentations; writing routine reports and correspondence; follow verbal directions, written policies and procedures accurately and completely. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with internal and external customers as well as the public, contractors and consultants; maintaining a collaborative team environment and working with many individuals from diverse backgrounds and points of view as part of a team. Ability to plan and manage multiple programs and deadlines with strong attention to detail and minimal direction or oversight. Ability to design and develop spreadsheets of moderate difficulty; research, access information, compile, analyze and interpret numerous facts and details drawn from various sources to solve problems. Ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, technical documentation, shop drawings, manufacturer's manuals, safety manuals, specifications, regulations and procedure manuals. Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies; principles and practices of engineering; methods and techniques used in the design and constructions of public improvements; applicable laws and regulatory codes relevant to design and construction preferred. Knowledge of asset management programs preferred. EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, FORMAL TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or other related field preferred. 1 + year work experience implementing and managing projects, programs or business operations in asset maintenance management or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training. Must possess a valid Driver's license. Previous experience in water operations preferred. Target hiring pay range Minimum $59,900/yr-$86,900/yr maximum depending on experience and qualifications. WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES This position consists primarily of office work with reoccurring field work, and requires occasional operation of a district vehicle to various work sites. This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time with hand/eye coordination: for repetitive motion and data entry. Position includes the occasional lifting and/or moving of items up to 50 pounds and regular lifting of 10 pounds of office items. Field work includes exposure to all weather conditions and working in potentially hazardous environments. This position requires full range of physical motion with hand/eye coordination: for frequent standing and walking including on uneven terrain; for the use of tools and equipment to climb stairs, equipment and ladders. Position includes the regular lifting of 20-50 pounds of equipment and tools.
