Machinist/Grinder Operator - 2nd Shift

Description:
The machinist/operator is responsible for performing various tasks to operate, monitor, and perform limited preventative maintenance on assigned machines. The machinist/operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications, making adjustments, and changing tools as necessary to maintain quality specifications. The machinist/operator operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The Machine Operator will adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and supervisor guidance and in a timely fashion. 2nd Shift Specific Responsibilities: Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance and clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
