Doane University , a liberal arts university in Crete, Nebraska, invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Science with expertise in an area of the agrisciences (e.g., agronomy, soil science, agricultural education, natural resources) for the 2023-24 academic year, with the possibility of renewal. Teaching is over the two-semester, 9-month academic year. A Ph.D. is preferred. ABDs will be considered, as will candidates with Master's degrees and significant professional experience . The successful candidate will teach undergraduate classes. Online teaching experience will represent an advantage. Applications will be considered until the position is filled. Typical duties associated with the teaching assignment include: • Developing and/or updating syllabi. • Preparing class activities and lectures. • Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours. • Meeting all designated class periods. • Submitting completed final grades according to University regulations. • Assisting with department prospective student recruitment. • Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner. • Collecting student and course assessment data as requested by the department and University.
