Summary Applies basic knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, engineering drawings, material properties, layout, and machining procedures to set-up, program and operate CNC Mazak and Okuma Lathes accurately, safely and efficiently. Duties Set up, Program and operate MAZAK and OKUMA CNC Lathes Set up and operate other Mazak CNC Machines when needed Inspect and verify conformance to specifications Requirements 2 -3 year experience in operating, setting up and programming MAZAK or OKUMA lathes Experience with MasterCam Software and G Code Experience setting up fixtures, tooling, vices, and clamps Operate machines running complex and tight tolerance components Be able to stand for 8 hours a day Follow all safety and work rules and practices Strong work ethic and highly motivated Meticulous attention to detail and well organized Strong verbal communication skills Independent and willing to take initiative Able to work in a fast-paced constantly-changing environment with tight deadlines and occasional long hours
