Essential Functions Summit 7 is seeking a local Digital Design Intern to join our marketing team in Huntsville, AL . Applicants must be local to Huntsville, AL. Reporting to the Creative Lead, the Digital Design Intern will assist and develop a wide range of marketing materials in print and digital formats. The intern will work primarily with the creative team to help build and develop creative assets that meet strategic goals for various sales and marketing initiatives. Responsibilities Build and create videos, exhibit designs, social media posts, event collateral, and website assets Utilize Microsoft PowerPoint to create, design, and update marketing and sales presentations while adhering to brand guidelines and elements for all Summit 7 associated properties with excellence and decisiveness Use graphic design best practices and layout techniques to enhance the effectiveness of online content, video content, sales collateral, and corporate collateral Participate in creative sessions to support in generating ideas to drive delivery of content Collaborate with teams and take part in project execution from beginning to completion Support in building and creating client appreciation boxes in coordination with other Summit 7 teams Other duties as assigned Requirements Candidate application should include uploads of portfolio / project examples or resume should include a link to view examples of your work Possess a desire to learn about all aspects of a multifunctional marketing team and the tools used and needed to produce quality content in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Understanding of basic creative aesthetics as it applies to graphic design. Such as the importance of principals of composition and typography, the fundamentals of layout and design, the use of color pallettes, and when to use cmyk or rgb Possess a working understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) Knowledge of After Effects/Premier Pro Knowledge with or willing to learn about audio visual tools such as Sony camera, ATEM, Rodecaster, etc. Understanding of the importance of brand consistency, differentiating between brand and design Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Entrepreneurial attitude and capacity to work well in a rapidly changing environment Ability to ideate individually and in team settings, with proficiencies in communication, verbal, and interpersonal skills Ability to work in hybrid environments successfully US citizenship with the ability to pass an extensive background check
