Allegiant Manufacturing a one stop source for metal working solutions including stamping, fabrication, value-added assembly, tooling & machining, located in Maryville, Tennes see has an opportunity for experienced Stamping Press Operators for 2nd and weekend shifts . A stamping press operator will run a stamping press, which punches out metal parts from supplied metal material. Parts are then stacked into containers and metal scrap is disposed of in its proper container. We strive to provide competitive wages & benefits to our employees. Our 2nd shift earns a shift premium of $1.50 per hour. Shifts: Eastern Standard Time 2nd: 3:30 pm to 2:00 am - Monday thru Thursday Weekend: 6:00 am to 6:30 pm - Friday-Saturday & Sunday At Allegiant Manufacturing we pay our employees weekly. Essential Functions Required to stand, walk and reach with hand and arms to handle material Operate single stroke press and auxiliary equipment in a safe and correct manner Perform and document required visual and physical quality inspections as indicated by Activates machinery by pushing buttons or depress a foot pedal Stack, label, pack and transport finished work pieces Use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers Desired but not required qualifications One-year related experience and training on metal stamping presses Background or knowledge in some type of mechanical orientated trade A strong mechanical aptitude is helpful General knowledge of operating metal cutting machine tools, saws, drills, mills, grinders and hand tools
