Description:
Director of Development Lowell School in Washington DC is seeking a Director of Development to lead all fundraising and stewardship activities of the school including the annual fund, planned giving, major gifts, special events, the annual Fête, and campaigns. The Director of Development is a key member of the Leadership Team and reports to the Head of School. This position, which begins July 1, works closely with the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees and supervises the Assistant Director of Development and Advancement Services and Assistant Director of Development, Special Events, and Alumni Relations to champion school wide advancement goals. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 5-7 years of experience in a development and fundraising role Experience with a donor database preferred (i.e. Raiser's Edge, Salesforce) Major Responsibilities: Plan and supervise the Annual Fund campaign Work closely with the Development Committee to achieve committee goals Promote a culture of philanthropy through education, cultivation, and solicitation of incoming and current families, alumni families, and grandparents Organize and implement annual giving, capital campaigns, major gifts, and special funding projects Cultivate and solicit gifts in support of the school's key initiatives Research and write grant proposals to fund school initiatives and areas of focus Lowell School requires all employees to be fully vaccinated, unless you have a medical or religious exemption.
