Universal Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of material handling equipment, has an immediate FT opening for an experienced assembler at our Cedar Falls location. Qualified candidate will have 1+ years experience in a manufacturing environment and be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, written work instructions and procedure manuals. This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure and be able to apply common sense and understanding in carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral and/or diagram format, skilled with hand and power tools. We seek a self-motivated individual with mechanical ability that is capable of working in a fast paced union environment with minimal supervision. The physical demands involve standing, lifting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching and other repetitive motions, requiring a moderate amount of exertion, on a regular and daily basis for a minimum of an eight-hour shift, must be able to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
