Join our staff team at this summer day camp focused on building kid's bike skills. We are seeking Lead Staff at $22-26/hour and Support Staff at $16-20/hour. In addition, our benefits package provides family membership and your children can attend our traditional day camps at no fee. Our Y Riders summer day camp programs include Learn to Bike, Basic Skills and Junior Riders. Each week is something different from helping campers move from training wheels to independent riders for grades 1-3, to basic bike handling and confidence building for grades 1-3, to an intro to path and street riding for grades 3-5. If you enjoy biking as a hobby or more, come share your skills! We are hiring at all levels from assistants to leaders to site directors. Qualifications: Knowledge of the bicycle skills and/or experience coaching/teaching new activities to children 16 years or older (additional age requirements apply to higher-level positions) Provide documentation of experience working directly with school-age children in such areas as Sunday school, Scouts, sports, or babysitting. 460 hours+ preferred. 910+ hours required for director-level staff. Current certification in CPR and First Aid. (We can help you complete this!) Work well on a team, communicate well with youth, parents and colleagues and be committed to implementing high quality programming. Salary range $16-26/hr based on experience, qualifications, and availability. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English. Staff working more than 10 hours per week may sign up their children or siblings for free YMCA camp too! More about this in the benefits section. You'll serve up to 40 hours a week between 7:45am - 4:30pm M-F. No weekends (except one weekend training May 20-21)! This position is seasonal between June 19th -August 4th with additional opportunities for working at our Y for the remainder of summer and into the school year. All YMCA of Northern Colorado part-time staff working 10+ hours each week are eligible to receive a free family membership. Staff who work 10+ hours a week earn 50% to 100% off our programs. That includes free YMCA traditional day camp, youth sports, learn to skate and swim lessons, and half off YMCA Camp Santa Maria overnight camp, personal training, specialty summer camps, and childcare. If you work 20+ hours a week, your benefits grow from there. Sick time is earned from day 1, and we make contributions of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund for eligible staff.
