A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUTOMOTIVE COLLISION ESTIMATOR As an Automotive Collision Estimator, you play an immensely valuable role in our company, as your work generates the gross sales of our business. An estimating expert, you thoroughly inspect damaged vehicles according to our SOPs and develop the appropriate repair plans. You keep up to date on company and insurance partner guidelines and always keep those in mind when estimating repairs. After inspecting the car, you detail the damage in a thorough report. You schedule the work with the shop and make sure everything gets completed in a timely manner. You're the single point of contact for customers, so you'll be speaking with them often. That means you must be open and communicative with them and keep them informed about their vehicle's status. You take the time to explain the claims and repair process to customers and answer any questions they have about their cars. If a customer is hesitant about getting the repairs, you do what you can to convince them to go through with the work. When the repairs are done, you let the customer know and get them back on the road. You enjoy the variety in your days and take pride in doing your part to help our company succeed! QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE COLLISION ESTIMATOR 3+ years of collision estimating experience I-CAR Pro-Level 1 Platinum certification ASE B6 certification OR ability to earn one Proficiency with CCC ONE Familiarity with various insurance repair guidelines High school diploma or equivalent Do you enjoy interacting with people and feel confident in your communication skills? Are you a persuasive person with excellent negotiation skills? Do you pay close attention to every little detail? Can you manage your time well and stay on top of multiple tasks?
