NIRA is looking for a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the opportunity of a Senior Acquisition Analyst for our existing government client, the FAA. This position will be based at a metro-accessible location in Washington, DC. Our ideal candidate will have the skills, experience, and expertise to successfully perform and manage upcoming major procurement functions, pre/post award tasks as required. The successful candidate should be able to independently overcome challenges to successfully complete procurement activities in accordance with government regulations, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities: Provide planning support and documentation for both pre and post award phases of acquisitions. Support the development and management of acquisition schedules, acquisition strategies, and procurement plans. Provide recommendations for contract finalization and program/project start-up for new acquisitions and follow-on efforts. Use financial accounting systems (such as FAA's Delphi, PRISM, REGIS, and Corporate Work Plan) to run reports and provide analysis on financial obligations and expenditures. Review contract invoices, validate invoice hours, invoice amounts, monitor contract burn rates. Prepare expenditure projections for vendors based on contract invoices and contract financial data. Work with the Program Manager, Contract Officer's Representative (COR) and the Technical Officer's Representative (TOR) to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices. Provide financial reports and briefing packages as required. Required Skills: More than 10 years of solid experience in FAA contracts/acquisition management Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Skills Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to effectively prioritize, execute tasks, and meet deadlines.
