Medical Assistant Responsibilities: Participates and supports the health team in the direct patient care under the supervision of an RN/LPN. Maintains Patient Charts/record/clinic logs and database as necessary. Schedule appointments and assist with transportation if needed. Competence in auditory testing, visual testing, EKG, venipuncture, takes measurements and vitals, collects specimens. Keeps examination rooms neat and clean. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: HS Diploma or GED required. Formal training in a program leading to certification as a Medical Assistant. Minimum of 1 year experience. Bi-lingual Spanish & English Required. Valid NYS driver's license. The Unaccompanied Alien Children Program referred by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), provides temporary residential care and other supportive services to Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) who are under legal custody of the Federal Government.
