Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Full Time | Paid Time Off and 9 Paid Holidays! Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for Kensington Place in Columbus, Ohio. Kensington Place offers beautiful, comfortable and secure Senior Living options including Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. The ideal candidate will share Our Mission : Creating a better world by serving people in need. What will I do as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with Lutheran Social Services? Assure facility compliance with all applicable local, state, federal and other regulatory agencies and facility policies and procedures. Assist in establishing a high quality of resident care; performs daily rounds. Assists with the investigations of all incidents, falls, skin, elopements in compliance with policy and procedure. Responsible for overseeing the operations of the memory care unit to ensure overall quality services and residents' needs meet or exceed regulatory requirements and LSS Kensington Place expectations. Communicates regularly with the families, Executive Director (ED), and others as necessary to ensure that quality services and residents' needs are met. Acts as a liaison between residents, their families, staff, and the general public responding to inquiries and providing information on assisted living care and services. Leads or participates in screening prospective and existing residents to ensure staff have the ability to provide the level of care necessary. Partners with Director of Nursing to develop, implement, and document a multi-disciplinary approach to resident care. Evaluates, monitors, and manages staffing levels and availability to ensure optimal quality of care while minimizing overtime. Provides leadership, development and work direction to the memory care staff of Kensington Place. This includes the selection, orientation, coaching, performance feedback, discipline, and termination of employees as necessary. Ensures continuous, effective, appropriate staff development and training via in-service programs tailored toward the specialized needs of memory care patients and in accordance with regulatory standards and requirements. Monitors and assures proper documentation standards and practices are in place to manage, monitor and track the care of the memory care residents. Coordinates purchasing of supplies, monitoring budget and validating and coding invoices. Conduct and documents mandatory in-services and orientation for all of Kensington Place staff, and all areas of nursing educational needs. Shares responsibility with the Memory Care Program Manager to provide on-call and nurse coverage. Collaborates with ED and Memory Care Program Manager in process and program development within the nursing department. Perform other duties as assigned Requirements for an Assisted Director of Nursing (ADON) with Lutheran Social Services: : This position requires licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current, active license in the State of Ohio. Minimum three years experience in a medical field preferably an Assisted Living or Long-Term Care environment (preferred).
