In addition to any qualifications for a specific role, we have found our happiest and most successful employees align with our core company values of professionalism, integrity, accountability, persistence, adaptability, and teamwork Responsibilities for Supervisor: Aid in the development of all accounting process, procedures and controls and identify weaknesses in the processes that need attention and find ways to improve them. Oversee monthly financials, bank reconciliation, tax, and insurance accrual . Review and approve mortgage payable to ensure they tie to mortgage statement. Complete team monthly tasks, Complete quarterly security deposit true ups, Review AR aging and complete bad debt accruals, Post depreciation for properties, and review and post Journal entries after JE closed when necessary. Monitor and approve property cash and set up wires as needed to investors and vendors. Plan the weekly priorities for the team and hold Senior meetings to go over questions/trainings. In charge of setting up and maintaining the process of the team reviews and communicating status and issues to Accounting Manager. Act as a point of contact with Yardi for accounting items, provide needed financial documents and answer financial question from investors and Asset Managers. Ensure all balance sheet items are reviewed and any adjustments made in the year as necessary. Work with Accounting Manager to ensure all needed financial documents have been submitted on time during annual financial audit and tax filing process. Monitor PTO calendar to ensure coverage is maintained when employees are out and assist with hiring process for new accountants and seniors. Participate in Sr. and Property Accountant interviews with Accounting Manager. Qualifications for Supervisor: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Foreign equivalent degree accepted. 2 years' experience as an accountant. 2 years experiences as accountant to include experience with multifamily housing accounting, property accounting 2 years of experience includes experience using YARDI Property Management software, Microsoft Word & Excel. Demonstrable knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles and procedures , financial reviewing and analysis , transaction processes, month-end close and year-end processes , general ledger reconciliatio n, knowledge of cash flow analysis Peak Living LLC offers a competitive compensation package including monthly and quarterly bonuses, health, vision, dental and life insurance and discounted rent program.
